What is a GIA or IGI certificate?

GIA and IGI certificates are internationally recognized documents that certify the characteristics of a given diamond – color, clarity, weight and cut. They are issued after laboratory analysis and guarantee the authenticity and quality of the stone.

What is the difference between a natural and a lab-grown diamond?

Natural is formed in the bowels of the earth over millions of years. Lab-grown is created in weeks in a controlled environment, and is chemically and visually almost identical, but is more accessible and does not carry the natural rarity.
